Social Fund Funeral Grants are available through the DWP. Please be aware that Social Fund payments will not cover the full cost of the funeral.

Tell Us Once Service
‘Tell Us Once’ is a service that lets you report a death to most government organisations in one go.
When you register a death, the registrar will let you know which service is available in your area, and will then give you the phone number.
You will also receive a unique reference number for the Tell Us Once service, which can be used online or by phone. Click here for more information.
